Everyone knows the term work/life balance, but I feel like that oversimplifies the constant challenges and victories that everyday life entails. And what about when those little inconveniences are sprinkled in too? Those disruptions that some refer to as lemons. We all know the saying "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." But what happens when life suddenly given you what feels like an entire lemon tree in the middle of your week?
Do you ever get lost in the busyness of everyday life to the point where it seems monotonous then....boom! There is something that brings you back into focus.

Here's a recent example to get you started. In the last two weeks, I have had a debit card hacked, my husband hit a deer in his personal vehicle. Then you mix in all the little things along the way from work and personal life, and suddenly it seems like you're in a world of unforeseen mishaps while trying to maintain this "work-life" balance that we all strive to achieve.
So now that you have all of these lemons, what do you do? You use them to make
You've called the bank, cancelled your card, and reset all payments. (Made Lemonade)
You've sorted out everything with the car insurance place. (Made lemon cookies)
You've still made it to work and all other scheduled events on time. (Made lemon pies)
You've got to be running low on lemons right? Sure, but now you have this lemon tree that seems to keep raining lemons in your yard every time you think you have them all picked up.
Now you have a decision to make. Do I let these lemons take over my yard (your life) or do I find a way to leverage them for my benefit?
Amongst all the usual inconveniences and unexpected mishaps, there's a chance for you to turn things around and turn that troublesome lemon tree into a prosperous fresh lemon stand that will eventually be a local favorite.
Your Turn: What are some of the lemons that life has given you lately, and how can you turn them into lemonade?
